News from Apr 08, 2014
On April 7, 2014, a group of students from the National Academy of Public Administration attached to the Office of the President of Ukraine joined the Center for Global Politics for the day. The students and CGP staff engaged in a lively discussion about the current situation in Ukraine. The students were critical regarding any external influence and emphasized that Ukraine needed to sort out its issues and form its policy agendas independently. Subsequently, the CGP introduced the students to the Institute for East European Studies as well as to the work of the CGP at FU Berlin. They were very open and interested, particularly with regards to the Seasonal Schools program. They also confirmed that blended learning programs like International Relations Online could be a viable option for working professionals in Ukraine. The meeting was conducted in an open and frinedly atmosphere; the students now move on to the University of Bremen as well as the Viadrina University on a DDAD-funded trip to learn more about the German education system.
