News from Nov 04, 2014
Where do we place Eastern Europe in times of globalization and European integration? What are the fundamentals of East European Studies? How does the current conflict in Ukraine fit into this picture? How do we make sense of it?
These are some of the questions addressed by the lecture series entitled "Die Verortung Osteuropas" at the Institute for East European Studies at FU Berlin. The focus of the series is Ukraine. Within this context, CGP director Klaus Segbers will talk about the comeback of violence into the civilized world on December 3, 6-8 pm. The lecture will be held at Garystr. 55, 14195 Berlin, Hörsaal A.
Other topics of the lecture series - just to name a few - are the geopolitical and security dimensions of the current crisis in Ukraine; Maidan and Anti-Maidan as conflict of identities in Ukraine; and Two Ukraines': History, Mythology and Current Challenges.
