Barbara Dietz holds a Master’s degree in Economics (Dipl.-Volkswirtin) from the University of Munich and a doctorate (Dr. phil.) from the University of Bremen. She works as senior researcher at the Institute for Eastern European Studies in Regensburg and has conducted several research and survey projects on the integration of ethnic German immigrants from Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union in Germany. She also worked on the immigration and integration of Jewish quota refugees from the former USSR in Germany. Additionally, Barbara Dietz is involved in research on East- West migration and migration policy of the European Union.
