Methods

State of the art teaching methods - ranging from distance learning to interactive working groups - are employed by the programs of the Center for Global Politics. In each program students are provided with an enriching and pleasant learning experience.

East European Studies (EES) Online and International Relations (IR) Online are blended learning programs. They combine web-based courses with in-house classes in Berlin. This offers an outstanding opportunity for young professionals to continue their studies while pursuing their careers at the same time – you are free to study anywhere at any time.

EES Online and IR Online work with the learning management system Blackboard. Participants in these programs receive a password that enables them to enter the learning system. Communication with tutors and fellow students takes place via email.

German Studies Russia and Global Politics Summer School China are intensive face-to-face programs in which students are actively involved through presentations and discussions. The theory-based seminars of the Global Politics Summer School China are complemented by two practically oriented modules that activate students' potentials beyond purely academic topics.

Both programs are supported by the learning-management system Blackboard. It allows students to access the required reading and other study material.
